Tibetan cymbals "tingsha"

Tibetan cymbals "tingsha"

The "tingsha" are small hand cymbals connected by a leather cord. When struck together, they emit a clear, sustained sound that calm the mind and may help to think about. Traditionally, as a sign of compassion and generosity, the monks and other tibetan people offer them to the "hungry demons" to enable them to calm their desires. The "tingsha" are also used at the end of the massage sound to allow the spirit to reconnect to reality.
